DESCRIPTION:NOTE: Registration has closed for this event. \nWe invite homeschooling families to join our free educational programs. Individuals\, and small groups may participate without a larger organization. \nOur first 2026 session begins Wednesday\, May 27\, on the Shiloh Museum grounds. We will feature Mr. Cooper’s Barn and the Steele General Store. \nStudents will explore life on a 1930s Ozark farm through hands-on activities. They will visit our 1870s general store to learn about Great Depression bartering. In the exhibit hall\, students will study rural electricity and New Deal “alphabet agencies.” \nPLEASE NOTE: Space is limited to 75 people. Please include the number of adults in your registration.

Discover how NHD projects\, from documentaries to websites\, build student confidence and meet literacy frameworks. Participants will preview the 2027 theme\, explore free museum resources\, and network with regional peers. \nAttendance includes a complimentary lunch and six hours of Arkansas professional development credit. SUMMARY:Homeschool Days: Log Cabins and Covered Wagons
DESCRIPTION:The Shiloh Museum would like to reach out to individual and small groups of homeschooling families to provide days during the year for you to participate in our free\, educational programs\, even if you do not belong to a larger group. Registration is required. \nDuring this field trip students take a “journey” to 1830s – 1850s Arkansas and learn about life in the Arkansas Ozarks. They experience Ozark homesteads by visiting the museum’s 1854 log home\, exploring the Settlers of the 1800s exhibit\, and learning about the hands-on chores of the time period. \nPLEASE NOTE: Groups of 10 or less preferred for this event.
