This event is now FULL. Please watch for the next Homeschool Days event in a few weeks.
The Shiloh Museum would like to reach out to individual and small groups of homeschooling families to provide days during the year for you to participate in our free, educational programs, even if you do not belong to a larger group.
The first of these Homeschool Days is scheduled for Wednesday March 12, 2025, with a program about Mr. Cooper’s Barn and Steele General Store, both located on the museum grounds.
Students will experience what life was like on a 1930s farm in the Ozarks through hands-on exploration and a visit to the museum’s general store (built in 1879) to learn about the Great Depression as well as trading and bartering for needed supplies. They will explore the museum’s exhibit hall with a focus on the arrival of electricity to the Arkansas Ozarks and the “alphabet agencies” of the 1930s.
