Cardboard Bunnies
Bunnies made of molded or pressed cardboard or pulp were popular Easter decorations during the 1930s and 1940s.
Bisque and Composition Dolls
These dolls belonged to Frances Slaughter (b. 1905) when she was growing up in the Washington County community of Goshen.
“Dazzler” Bicycle Lamp
Manufactured around 1910 by Powell & Hanmer of Birmingham, England, the Dazzler is a carbide lamp powered by acetylene gas.
Transferware Plate
This plate was manufactured by Dunn Bennett & Company of England for the American market in the late 1880s and early 1900s.
Vegetable Dish
This dish was given to Orley Tresner and Virginia Chesser as a wedding gift in 1934. Both were from rural communities east of Fayetteville.
Cottage Cheese Jar
Fayetteville Milk Company opened its doors about 1930 and closed in 1974. For a time, the company sold their cottage cheese in glass jars.
