We’ll explore how trains helped shape our region by getting hands-on with artifacts from our education collection.

Our conductor-led activities include:

  • Interactive Storytime: A railway-themed book that brings history to life.
  • Movement: A “train in motion” activity to help little ones burn off some steam.
  • Creative Craft: A train-related project for students to build and take home.

This program is perfect for preschoolers who love things that go! We invite you to gather at the Steele General Store on the museum grounds as we track the fascinating history of travel in the Ozarks.
