Primary Sources in the Classroom

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon, Shiloh Museum of Ozark History will host a workshop for teachers and librarians utilizing oral history projects and local primary sources in the classroom. It is open to educators for grades 5-12.

In this workshop, teachers learn the ins and outs of preparing for an oral history project with their students. Activities include question creation, finding your target audience, necessary equipment, and more. Shiloh Museum staff will also delve into the various research resources that the museum has to offer to educators, specifically how to research for primary sources within the Shiloh Museum’s collections.

Three hours of professional development credit will be available for attending this workshop.
