Admission: free
Join Dr. Michelle Rathgaber, educational outreach coordinator with the Arkansas Archeological Survey office in Fayetteville, on Tuesday, August 29, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to learn about archeological evidence of foods throughout history in the Arkansas Ozarks. Participants will discover how archeologists have used artifacts to learn about plants and animals used as food by people of the past and have the opportunity to take part in a foraging simulation. To end the evening, participants will be sent home with recipes that use native plants. This program is free, but pre-registration is required as space is limited. This event is now full! If you’d like to join a waiting list, please Contact Kim Hosey.
