    Celebrate America’s semiquincentennial at our free campus festival honoring the Ozarks' diverse tapestry! Enjoy live music by Nick Shoulders, cultural dance performances, regional speakers, and food trucks. Family fun includes mini-train rides, traditional blacksmithing, and hands-on activities with Crystal Bridges, the Amazeum, and more. We’ll also debut our new exhibit, Our Changing Landscape.     Little Historians: Trains!

    Join us for a special Little Historians program designed to introduce pre-kindergarten students to the iron horses of the past. We’ll explore how trains helped shape our region by getting hands-on with artifacts from our education collection. Our conductor-led activities include: Interactive Storytime: A railway-themed book that brings history to life. Movement: A "train in motion" activity to help little ones burn off some steam. Creative Craft: A train-related project for students to build and take home. This program is perfect for preschoolers who love things that go! We invite you to gather at the Steele General Store on the museum grounds as we track the fascinating history of travel in the Ozarks.

    Elevate your classroom with National History Day at the Shiloh Museum! Join Arkansas Affiliate Coordinator Angela Adams for this free workshop designed for 6th–12th grade educators and librarians. Discover how NHD projects, from documentaries to websites, build student confidence and meet literacy frameworks. Participants will preview the 2027 theme, explore free museum resources, and network with regional peers. Attendance includes a complimentary lunch and six hours of Arkansas professional development credit. This workshop is free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required.
