Ring, ring! Join us for our September Little Historians program as we explore the fascinating history and technology of telephones! Designed specifically for Pre-K learners, this hands-on session introduces young historians to how people used to communicate using real artifacts from our education collection. Program Highlights: Storytime: An engaging storybook reading about phones and communication. Hands-On Learning: Practice rotary and push-button dialing with real vintage phone artifacts. Movement Activity: A fun, interactive group activity to get little ones moving. Little Historians is a monthly program tailored for preschool-aged children and their caregivers to explore history through play, stories, and hands-on discovery.

Preserve your Ozark history! We're coming to the Gentry Public Library from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, September 22. Bring your stories, photos, and historical documents to be digitized for future generations. Our team will scan your items on-site—you keep all original materials along with a free digital copy. With your permission, copies will also be preserved in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History archives to help safeguard our region's rich history and culture. Historian Rachel Whitaker will kick off the event with an opening talk: Moonshine in the Ozarks. Event Highlights Free Archival Scanning: Bring photos, letters, and regional documents. Keep Your Originals: Receive digital files on the spot while keeping your physical items. Community Preservation: Help build the Shiloh Museum’s permanent regional collection.
