Back by popular demand! Dr. Michelle Rathgaber, Educational Outreach Coordinator with the Arkansas Archeological Survey, will talk about the archeological evidence for native food use in the past. She will discuss how archeologists can infer hunting, gathering, and agricultural methods and strategies, food preparation techniques, and food resource storage in the past using artifacts and their contexts. Examples will be shown of native foods and other food-related artifacts for attendees to view along with recipes using some of these native ingredients for participants to try out at home.
Stay tuned for more details and to register for online viewing.
