    The Dogwood Lace Guild is dedicated to preserving and sharing the methods of hand-made lace in all forms. The guild has members who can demonstrate and teach lace made by bobbin, needle, tatting, knitting, and crochet. Their motto is “Lacing, learning, and laughing.” The group meets from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month in the Shiloh Meeting Hall building.     The Sacred Harp Singers are a small group of singers who are actively preserving the shape-note musical tradition in Northwest Arkansas. They are dedicated to promoting the historical tradition of Sacred Harp music.     This is an old-time music jam where the fiddlers take the lead, and the music is mostly instrumental. The group consists of musicians with all skill levels trying to preserve the tradition of old-time fiddle and contra dance tunes, mostly from the Appalachian and Ozark Mountain regions. The group meets from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month in the General Store building on the Shiloh Museum grounds. Following the talk there will be books for sale and a signing. Though Silent They Speak: Arkansas Gravestones and Graveyards is a fascinating and informative guidebook to the most unusual graves and graveyards in Arkansas. Within the pages, readers explore showy marble monuments in city cemeteries and haunting, primitive carvings and inscriptions discovered in isolated, rural graveyards, while telling the stories behind these burials. Examples include private tombs in public places, African American burial grounds, a graveyard on the grounds of a former Japanese internment camp, and two small graveyards that are now state parks.
