John McLarty will discuss recent findings that have helped confirm the route of the Trail of Tears through the Arkansas Ozarks in Shiloh’s ongoing Not Strictly History program. During the winter of 1838 to 1839, Cherokees were forced from their homeland in the southeastern United States to Indian Territory, which is now Oklahoma. Their path is known as The Trail of Tears.
